Our Golden Oldies Rewarded

End of June and time for our last 100 Club draw of the year, with once again a fifth prize thanks to new members.

Thank you all for helping to raise money for good causes!  Anybody can join - you don’t have to be a member!  And you could win one of the many prizes each year - with half the money going to prizes and half to good causes.

As those of us old enough to remember Tommy Trinder’s famous catch-line, June 28’s 100 Club Draw was another case of: “You Lucky People.”  Once again, current members to the fore (what a devoted, donating lot we are)! So when we all gather again, unmasked, restrictions lifted, and enjoying ourselves at the Beauvoir Arms, first drinks are on £100 first prize winner Michael Dunne. Just teasing Michael !

  • Second prize: £80: Norman Wilson
  • Third prize: £50: Roy Farrer
  • Fourth prize :£30 : David Rothon
  • Fifth prize: £20: Bert French.

Norman and Bert? Must be something the Golden Oldies know that the rest of us don’t. Definitely a case of  “You Lucky People.”

Draw organiser Roger Kettle thanked everyone again for their support and stressed how important the 100 Club Draw was to us sustaining our various charities. At then end of the day of course, everyone wins!
