Inner Wheel and Rotaract presentations
President - Association of Inner Wheel Clubs, Audrey Pollard.
The first eighteen years of Audrey’s life were spent in North Yorkshire. She was born in Thornaby-on-Tees and her early childhood was spent in Sexhow. She started school in Carlton-in-
Cleveland, then Moulton Station, attending school in North Cowton and then the High School for Girls, Richmond. After leaving Bretton Hall Training College she specialised in Arts and Crafts, then started teaching in Spen Valley in the West Riding of Yorkshire. There she met husband Dennis, who was in Banking, and so she remained in the area. They have three children, a daughter and two sons, all married, and they are the proud grandparents of Chloe, eight years, Joshua six years, Joseph eight years, Adam six years and Katherine aged one and a half.
Apart from her family and Inner Wheel, she supports a local Women’s Refuge and her local
school. Her greatest pleasure is visiting South West Scotland as well as reading, doing Sudoku and crossword puzzles and sewing.
RGBI Chairman Paul Simon
I’m 31, live in Colchester and work as a Civil Servant in Braintree. I’ve been a Rotaractor
8 years spending the first couple of years just as club member of Colchester, then as the secretary follwed by a year as the Vice President and finally a year as Club President- also doing the District chairman at the same time!!
Outside of Rotaract I’m an avid football fan, love to play Golf (although not well at the moment) watch Rugby (Leicester Tigers fan) and enjoy reading and listening to music.
My years in Rotaract have been both fun and enjoyable and have allowed me to develop
as a person.
