Bradford Community Soup #31 15th February 2024, 6.30 for 7pm (Bradfordsoup.org.uk for more details) We are hosting the event in our usual venue – The Storehouse, 116 Caledonia Street, Bradford BD4 7BQ
 Christa Ackroyd and Steve gave an impassioned speech about the potential of the Brontë birthplace.   Christa and Steve really inspired us with the future plans for the site.

 We sponsored Malaika from Immanuel College to take part in the annual Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA).  Malaika had the time of her life, she came to the club to tell us about the tasks her and her team undertook and how her skills were developed.

We are delighted to welcome Blanca from Columbia who is a Peace Scholar studying at the University of Bradford
Hilary and Steve Lawther constantly raise money for the charity.  They need donations of metal cabinets to create reading corners.

Thu 17th August 2023 Gambian Schools Trust

Past President Tess made a donation which will go towards the cost of building another classroom at Loumen Lower Basic School which is urgently needed due to increased demand.
She told us about University when Covid hit.   Late in her schooling she was confirmed to be Dyslexic.  This has shaped her approach to work preferring visuals to the written word.  Her work is a talking point not bound by descriptive words.

Thu 3rd August 2023 Jessica Swift

Rotarian Vicky invited Jess to speak to us and what an inspirational lady she is. Vicky met Jess through a consultation on developing creative space. Jess is an artist from Bradford and specialises in sculpture, painting, photography.
Bronte's President Juli has chosen NEESIE for her charities .  We are  raising funds to pay for a MAT course to reach more mums and children to help bring about a change that will give them a better chance in life.

Our very own Rotarian Noreen Khan talked to us about NEESIE of which she is the founder and Director. NEESIE provides a platform for single mothers and their children to grow independently and better their lives.
