About us

President James Bruce welcomes you to

The Rotary Club of Tranent

We are based in the historic town of Tranent which is one of the oldest towns in East Lothian, but we serve the communities of Tranent, Elphinstone, Macmerry, Ormiston and Pencaitland.

We received our Rotary Club Charter in 1971 and are celebrating our 50 years of service to our communities this year (2021).

Currently due to the Covid-19 our meetings are on a fortnightly basis through Zoom, but we have still managed to support the local community by donating to local charities and causes.

From August 2021 (Covid restrictions permitting) we will be meeting at our new venue, Thomson’s of Tranent on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Tuesday of the month.  Our meetings start at 7.00pm.

If you think you might be interested in joining Rotary, please contact us as new members are always welcome and there are various types of membership available.

All the members of the Club look forward to continuing to work with our communities and supporting both local and International projects.

Come and Join Us - Rotary is Fun
