The Queen's Award for Voluntary Services, the equivalent of an MBE, was awarded to Church & Oswaldtwistle Rotary on the 2nd June 2022
Church & Oswaldtwistle Rotary is a group of 33 men & women who want to "make a difference" within their Local Community and Internationally, through fund raising and Community activities. We understand that Social interaction is key and that for some, volunteering needs to be a flexible arrangement, where you can devote as much or as little time as you want without a long-term commitment. That is why we welcome you to come along and help out whenever you are able. Once you’ve experienced the way we operate, it may well be that you want to join us more formally and benefit from all the amazing opportunities that Rotary has to offer.
Please take the time to study our Website and look at the various activities we are engaged in throughout the year. Our Facebook link is accessed via the page icon top left of the Home Page.
You don’t have to be a ‘professional’ to be part of our Rotary Club, and it is open to anyone over the age of 20. Our membership consists of retired people, fulltime workers and students. We really are a mixed bunch! All that we ask is that our Members are Community minded people of good character.
To quote the late Sir Clem Renouf, a past President of Rotary International: “Rotary takes ordinary men and women and gives them extraordinary opportunities to do more with their lives than they ever dreamed possible”
Feel free to call me or our Secretary, Cath, if you would like to discuss further.
