About us

Welcome to the Rotary Club of Takeley.

We are a new evening club, trying to be quite informal, with the focus on friendship and service rather than meals.  Our members come from a wide area around Takeley, e.g Bishops Stortford, Great Dunmow, Hatfield Broad Oak and Stebbing.

Our aims:

  • To promote friendships of like-minded people who are prepared to be involved in service projects.
  • To help our community
  • To promote peace and care of the environment

We meet fortnightly on a Wednesday evening at 8 p.m. at Little Canfield Community Hall to chat, have a drink and plan our programmes. Sometimes we have an interesting speaker, occasionally we go out and have fun, such as Crazy Golf or Tenpin Bowling.

We are developing some regular community projects such as

  • Litter picks
  • Foodbank Collections
  • Open Gardens
  • Table Top sales
  • Quizzes

And we work  together with Dunmow Rotary Club on

  • Youth Projects
  • Father Christmas rounds

New members are very welcome
