Gateway Club


We support the local Gateway Club, run under the auspices of the Hitchin & Letchworth Branch of Mencap, which provides a range of facilities for people over age 18 with a learning disability.

Christmas Charity Quiz


Each year the club produces a challenging prize quiz in time for the Christmas period. All the proceeds from quiz sales go to various charities. This year the main charity we are supporting is Age UK.

Hitchin Health and Wellbeing Day


Each year our club, supported by the other three Hitchin Rotary clubs, takes over the Market Square to provide a variety of health-related advice and service, including free blood tests and diabetis testing.

Purple 4 Polio Crocuses


Our club supports Rotary's "End Polio Now" project and to this end we have acquired crocus corms, proceeds from the sale of which go to the project's funds

Kids Out


Our Club, along with many other Rotary clubs, supports the KidsOut charity by providing disadvantaged children with an experience that brings both fun and happiness into their lives.

About us

WHO ARE WE?

We are Hitchin Priory Rotary Club, one of four Rotary clubs in Hitchin, and part of a Rotary district covering much of Herts, Beds and Bucks.  We currently have 35 men and women members from a wide variety of backgrounds; some retired and some still working.

Our principal aim is to provide practical and financial support to local, national and global charitable organisations and endeavours.  We do this through a range of small and large events; some on a regular basis and some as one-off activities, and we get involved with other organisations, and other Rotary Clubs, by helping with their various activities.

We have fun with what we do: with our fund-raising and support events; with regular dinner meetings, sometimes with a speaker; we enjoy various social activities such as theatre and concert trips, walks, golf, croquet etc; and we enjoy the fellowship our club provides.
