DetailsThe Rotary Club of Halifax was formed in 1922 when it was the 60th club to be formed in the UK. From these early days the club has been at the centre of supporting local, national and international programmes that range from clearing litter from local beauty spots, planting flower beds to enhance the appearance of the town; supporting local young people in developing their leadership abilities and showcasing their talents in music, technology and culinary skills; joining with other clubs around the world to provide clean water and effective sanitation, medical care and education programmes. Please visit the pages shown above, and in our site menu, for details of our projects and programmes.
We also continue to support local charities, undertake our environmental projects and strive to continue to "Do good in the world"
The Rotary Club of Halifax operates a Trust Fund to manage their charitable receipts and donations that is registered with the Charity Commissioners (reg. no. 1032807) and are also registered with HMRC in order to take advantage of "Gift Aid" on on all qualifying receipts. Policies relating to matters such as Equality, Safeguarding and Health and safety are in place and are available on request from groups or individuals forming partnerships with or making grants to the club.
We are supported by the Amazon Smile programme and receive a donation from them for each purchase made via their dedicated charity website. It doesn't cost buyers or sellers anything extra so why not visit the site and support us with your next purchase by clicking HERE
