Daffodil tea - 2019
With Contact the Elederly we ran a daffodil tea for some 25 older peopledetails
The Club meets weekly when most Rotarians get together for the Fellowship which is a keystone of Rotary.
Some meetings are purely for fellowship (usually at lunchtime), some have a guest speaker (usually in the evening) and a very few are reserved for the business of the Club
Typically a meeting at lunch time lasts for an hour and an evening one is a little more.
Although we have e-mail, web and social media presence, the face to face meetings contribute to the Club's team spirit (and not everyone reads e-mails!)
There is no absolute rule for attendance but every member is expected to make maximum effort to attend as many meetings as possible. The Rotary motto of Service Above Self applies here.
Our meetings follow this pattern:-
Second Thursday each month- an evening meeting (5:45 for 6:15) usually with a speaker. Finished by 20:00
First Thursday - lunchtime meeting - 12:30 for 13:00 finishing promptly at 14:00
Fourth Thursday - evening meeting
Third Thursday - lunchtime
Fifth Thursday - an informal meeting (sometimes not at Garvock House)
If we have a 'big' social or fundraising event, usually on Friday, we do not have a regular meeting that week.
If you would like to help our work please donate what you can.
