Cheltenham North Rotary Club support both local and international communities through the range of activities undertaken. We are a group of 31 Men and Women who meet twice monthly, on the 1st and 3rd Monday at the Queens Hotel in Cheltenham.
Our 2 large community events are the Wine Festival and the Christmas Concert at Cheltenham Ladies College and during the year we hold smaller fundraising events, again in the local community.
The next Cheltenham Wine Festival will take place at the Ladies College Health and Fitness Centre, Malvern Road. GL50 2NX. on Saturday 31st October 2026. Yes, Halloween, so who knows what to expect!
The 48th Christmas Concert will be held at The Princess Hall, Cheltenham Ladies College, on Wednesday 16th December. This event will feature the Choirs of Leckhampton School and the Gloucestershire Constabulary Silver Band. An evening of entertainment, featuring local talent.
During the year, we assist and support local schools, including Rowanfield, Bettridge and Belmont and this year, will be no exception with an emphasis on the environment and possible introduction of the Rotary Youth Competition, Young Environmentalist.
As a Club we are also keen to support local organisations with small Community grants, details of which can be found on this website.
Internationally we contribute to the ShelterBox scheme, for disaster areas along with School in a Bag. School in a Bag is a simple solution created to help poor, orphan, vulnerable and disaster affected children throughout the world.
Throughout the year we have a range of interesting speakers, some from the Charities we support and others including information on the infamous ‘A417’ link, The Wines of Gloucestershire etc. This Rotary year is no exception and includes Speaker Nick Gazzard OBE. President 2026/7 Gloucester Quays Rotary Club who will speak on "My Body is my Body Foundation.”
Further details are included on the Home page of this website, along with photographs of previous events and success stories.
If you are interested in joining our volunteer group, we would be delighted to hear from you. Partners and guests are always very welcome at Club events and meetings so please do get in touch.
