· “Imagine, a world that deserves our best, where we get up each day knowing that we can make a difference.”
· For Rotary, engaging each member should be our core function.
· “It is our offer of hands-on service, personal growth, leadership development, and lifelong friendships that creates purpose and passion,”
· “You don’t imagine yesterday, you imagine tomorrow.”
We are delighted to represent Rotary International in Cheltenham. Cheltenham North are an established Club, of 41 members. We are always keen to attract interest about our work in the Community. We are open to both women and men, who wish to devote spare time to helping those less fortunate than ourselves and to make to our local community.
Usually, we meet on the 1st and 3rd Monday evenings in the month, at the Queens Hotel 6pm for a 6.30pm start.
We operate with an ethos of an enjoyable, warm, welcoming, and fun club.
Every year we raise funds for great causes both at home and overseas.
For the second year we are supporting National Star College. In September they opened a new student accommodation hub to allow further supporting of people with disabilities in reaching their potential. We have already raised considerable funds to equip the kitchen/living area in one of the two new flats and therefore will continue in 23/24.
We are continuing to support ‘School in a Bag’, which will supply a school in Nepal with school bags for all this year’s intake of children, along with On to It
We will continue to support various schools throughout the town in assisting with reading skills of their children.
One of major environmental activities over the past years is planting of 150 trees throughout the town.
It is also important to support any national campaign in the event of any worldwide crisis that may occur.
Apart from fund raising, the website gives details of our other activities including our club programme and varied social events.
Thank you for reading about us on this page. Further information on our programme can be found within the "Future Events" box towards the top of this page.
