About us

                                                                ROTARY 2022/2023

The theme for the Rotary year 2022/2023 from Rotary International President Jennifer Jones, is Imagine.

  • “Imagine, a world that deserves our best, where we get up each day knowing that we can make a difference.”
  • For Rotary, engaging each member should be our core function.
  • We need to ask members what they want to get from Rotary and give them meaningful responsibilities.
  • “It is our offer of hands-on service, personal growth, leadership development, and lifelong friendships that creates purpose and passion,”
  • “You don’t imagine yesterday, you imagine tomorrow.”
We are delighted to represent Rotary International in Cheltenham. We are an established Club, of 45 members. We are always keen to attract interest about our work in the Community. We are open to both women and men, who wish to devote spare time to helping those less fortunate than ourselves.

Usually, we meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursday evenings in the month, at 6pm for a 6.30pm start.

Our venue details can be found on this website.

We operate with an ethos of an enjoyable, warm, welcoming, and fun club.

Every year we raise funds for great causes both at home and overseas.

This year we are supporting National Star College. They are due to start building some new student accommodation at Ullenwood and we are raising funds to equip a kitchen in one of the two new flats.

We are continuing to support ‘School in a Bag’, which will supply a school in Nepal with school bags for all this year’s intake of children.

We will continue to support LINC

In addition, we have planted 100 trees in celebration of one hundred years of Rotary in Cheltenham. We are grateful to the support received from the local Borough Council, Businesses and Organisations, Friends and Rotary Club Members. In recognition of our 50th anniversary as a club, we will be planting 50 more trees.

Apart from fund raising, this website gives details of our other activities including our club programme and varied social events.

Thank you for reading about us on this page. Further information on our programme can be found within the "Future Events" box towards the bottom of this page.

If you wish to know more about our Club and its activities this can be obtained through the “Contact" and "What we Do" boxes at the top of this page.
