About us
The Rotary Club of Margate has 28 members and was founded in 1921 and is the oldest club in District 1120 which has 80 clubs covering Kent, East Sussex and parts of London.
We meet weekly for fellowship, often with speakers dealing with topics of local and global importance. Membership reflects a wide cross-section of the local community. Many lifelong friendships are formed. We use our skills and vocations to help our local communities both at home and abroad.
We
have contact clubs in Europe – Gent (Belgium), Lille Sud (France),
Worms (Germany) and Zutphen (Holland) as we pursue our aim of global
peace and understanding of different nations. We have a varied
social programme of events not only locally but nationally and
internationally.
