Rotarians have the opportunity to join many International Fellowship Groups.
DetailsWe work together, using our skills and expertise to help our community as best we can. This may be through local events, helping local organisations or putting together our own projects such as the Santa's Grotto, which we do in partnership with Burgess Hill District Lions.
I have been a member of Rotary since 2012 and since joining I have been involved in many projects locally and across the District (Sussex, Surrey and parts of South London). I have also gained so much knowledge from around the world, as Rotary is an International Organisation.
I have particularly enjoyed making new friends and contacts; attending local and national conferences (where I have learnt so much and met so many great people); giving our young people new opportunities through the Rotary Youth projects; working with local community groups and having fun.
I have gained so many new skills, particularly in Public Image and marketing as well as receiving Leadership Training, which have all helped me with my career. I am now more confident speaking in public and have a network of friends and Rotarian colleagues across the world.
I never realised that Rotary would give me so many opportunities and in turn I would learn so much.
I was lucky enough to be invited to join Rotary by a former employer, Jack Bennett, and I would like to invite you to explore what opportunities Rotary can offer. Please see my Personal Invitation below.
Central Sussex Rotary are a family friendly group, and we often have our children/grandchildren with us at events, which they thoroughly enjoy. There are many other local and online communities that you can get involved in. If you do decide to join, you are not only joining a local group, you are joining a worldwide network.
We meet on Wednesdays at 19:30
(If you would like to get involved, but can't make our scheduled meetings, please contact us, as we are happy to be flexible. We meet to discuss our projects and have a drink/social.) The RailwayBe part of a global network of volunteers, trying to make the world a better place. Please also see the 'links & news' page for information from the local district and live feeds from Rotary International and Rotary International in GB&I.
