Leyland Rotary has enjoyed a long-standing association with Leyland Barracudas Amateur Swimming Club which provides 78 hours of training sessions per week for 245 members whose ages range from 5-65, thanks to the unstinting work of its legion of volunteers who provide 150,000 volunteering hours every year and without whom the Swimming Club could not function. This is a valuable service to the local community.
For the second year running, Leyland Rotary is delighted to sponsor one of those volunteers to achieve their Level 1 teaching qualification, and this year the Award has gone to 17-year old Liv Robinson who is finding her volunteering role within the swimming club and local community to be both challenging and confidence-boosting. We wish Liv every success and look forward to her achieving her ambitions.
