With only 104 days to Christmas about 1,900 pink, white and blue hyacinth bulbs were planted in their pots in readiness for selling in November and December. So, on Thursday of last week, 10 of our members spent a busy and enjoyable afternoon on the production line planting some 630 pots of the bulbs.
Our hard working planters can be seen in the pictures working on the production and taking a short break! For videos of the project go to Facebook
As usual, Mavis kindly and generously provided us with much appreciated mid-afternoon tea and biscuits.
Over the coming months, the bulbs will be carefully nurtured to ensure that they are ready right on time. Details of dates, times and venues will follow.
All proceeds from the project will be used to help needy causes we support.
