Takeley Rotary is formed

We are supporting the charity Porridge and Pens , (an Essex Charity led by Jemma Williams). We are working towards a Global Grant to enable the school to have reliable solar energy and a computer suite which will benefit the whole community.

We held our first race night on Feb 17th, which was great fun for all and raised funds for the charity Accuro, which is based in Takeley

The new Rotary year starts on 1st July, with a new President. John Versey is President for 2025/26

We have planted some more purple crocuses near the Takeley Village sign and under the trees to remind us all of the very successful but still ongoing campaign to eliminate polio from the world .

Open Gardens event- June 21st 2026 We are keen to hear from anyone who is willing to open their garden from 12-5 pm.

Our gazebo is ready to go to support local fetes and carnivals

We do regular litter picks around Takeley

Takeley Rotary was chartered on 12th September 2022. President Maureen was given our charter at the inaugural meeting.

We regularly collect food items for Uttlesford Food Bank
