What is Rotary?

Rotary is a global network of 1.4 million people who come together to create positive, lasting change in their communities and around the world.

Founded over 100 years ago, Rotary brings together people from all walks of life who want to give back, share skills, and make a difference—whether that’s through supporting local charities, running youth programmes, tackling poverty, or responding to global challenges like disease and disaster relief.

Rotary members (often called Rotarians) work locally and globally to:

  • Support communities in need

  • Raise funds for charitable causes

  • Promote peace and education

  • Tackle health challenges like polio and mental health

  • Build connections across professions and cultures

Rotary is non-political, non-religious, and open to anyone who shares its values of service, leadership, and integrity.

Whether you're looking to volunteer, grow your network, or contribute your skills to meaningful causes, Rotary offers a place to belong and make an impact.
