Charity Golf Day, Aug 21st.
Fri 21st August 2015
Our second charity golf tournament, once again at Heaton Moor Golf Club.
Our second annual Charity Golf event was held on Friday, August 21st 2015, at Heaton Moor Golf Club. The weather stayed reasonably kind to us, with only the occasional spell of drizzle to contend with. Twenty one teams took part this year, an increase on last year and the winning team was Mike Goodwin, Ken Miller, Wayne Doyle and Steve McCann, going under the team name "The Tee Time Legends". In second place was "Stepping Hill 2" team, and the Lady's Prize was awarded to Ebitha of Stepping Hill 2. Nearest the pin was won by Graham Dyke of Ellesmere Eagles, and the Longest Drive prize went to Seve Ranshi, of The Kenyan Boys team.
Once again our chosen charity for this event, Prostate Cancer, will benefit greatly from the generosity of the teams and sponsors, as well as individuals who have made donations. Credit must also go to Rowan for a tremendous job in organising the event once again, and the band of Lamplighters who helped out with various tasks on the day.
Photographs from the day can be seen above, and are also available to download from our Flickr website by clicking here.
