Rotary Club of Stamford Burghley to change in JUNE 2025

Steve Allan, President of the Rotary Club of Stamford Burghley, said:

After nearly 40 years of being one of the 3 Rotary Clubs in Stamford our Members have decided that now is the time for change. Members will decide individually if they want to join another local Rotary Club - be a part of the Rotary family in other ways, or retire from Rotary.

We have raised around £500,000 for numerous local charities including schools and volunteer groups.

Our proudest legacy is the Stamford Santa Fun Run, which we started 17 years ago, which has raised over £200,000 for local Charites and groups. I am delighted to say that our partnership with the Stamford Striders will ensure that the event will continue and still be an important part of Christmas for so many who have taken part.

We have had great support from the local community, and for all those have taken part in our events, raffles, and the unique Victorian Cricket festival on the Meadows. Thank you for helping us in helping others.

I have been proud to be our President and want personally thank all past and currents Members for their support of the club.

I think we have done a good job for the community of Stamford.”
