President Colin has agreed to ‘host’ an easy walk on Saturday, October 21 for local Rotarians, family and friends to Naburn, part of the RIBI campaign to raise funds for the Polio Eradication Campaign. Please take part and try to get sponsors for yourself
- special sponsor forms are available here and from Stewart.
The route - about 3.5 miles - will start at the Blue Bridge in York - close to St George’s Field car park (with WCs) in the city centre - at 2.00 prompt. > Make your way (a few yards) to the Blue Bridge. > Follow the track along the River Ouse, to the Millennium Bridge and to York College - pick up the York to Selby cycle track - to Naburn Lock
> It is not a difficult track - all tarmac.
> Join and leave when and where you want.
> There is a nice pub for refreshments at Naburn.
> Suggest ’sponsorship’ at a pound a mile - total distance to walk will be about seven miles (RETURN).
> A sponsorship form is attached for family and friends.
> I look forward to seeing you there.
> ANY QUERIES, ASK EITHER COLIN OR STEWART...
> Bear in mind that you could complete a walk to your own design - even in your back garden..!
