The new President of Knaresborough Rotary is Deborah Wilson. Debbie grew up in Cheshire, close to Manchester and Derbyshire attending Macclesfield High School for Girls before studying Pharmacy at the University of Bradford. After graduating, she joined Boots as a Pharmacist, working in the Manchester area before being appointed Manager/Pharmacist at Accrington in Lancashire and later in Rawtenstall. Following marriage to Peter, a fellow Boots Manager and the arrival of their second son, she relinquished the management role to continue as a part-time Pharmacist until eventually taking early retirement and in 2018, moving to Knaresborough. Deborah has been associated with Rotary for 33 years through her husband’s membership of Bacup Rotary and herself being a member of the Bacup Inner Wheel for 26 years. Outside Rotary, she enjoys researching Family History and reading. Deborah succeeds Helen Westmancoat who has now taken on the role of Town Mayor!
