Primary School pupils aged five to 11 were treated to a free yoga session following the Easter cook School.
More than 40 youngsters from Claypotts Castle Primary School and surrounding schools attended the Easter Cook School hosted by charity Food on Friday at Douglas and Mid Craigie Church.
The Cook School taught the children how to plant seeds, make soup from scratch along with garlic bread and cupcakes and was organised by senior pupils at Craigie High School, a project they have been working on since early this year in conjunction with Anthea Reid, manager of Food on Friday.
To finish off the day, children and parents were treated to a free yoga lesson outside in the sunshine by yoga instructor Finlay Wilson who runs the Young Yogis project at Heart Space Dundee where children from age five upwards can enjoy free yoga lessons.
Anthea Reid said: "This has been an absolutely brilliant Cook School, more children than we expected to have attended and it's great to see the families together outside in the sunshine today. Only six months ago I wasn't sure if Food on Friday would be able to continue, but with the support of Dundee businesses and the community we have raised 60,000 and Food on Friday can continue to flourish."
Finlay Wilson said: "Today's yoga lesson is an opportunity to show our children how cooking and exercise like yoga can help with relaxation and living well. Kids take to yoga really well; they just give it a try. The children today have been so responsive and well behaved, they have all worked well together and it's fantastic for me to be able to bring Young Yogis to Food on Friday today."
Brother and sister Crawford, 9, and Eilidh Haig, 5, from Claypotts Primary School, were among those who attended the event.
Crawford said "I made soup with garlic, courgette and potato and a pudding. My favourite yoga positions were the scorpion and the frog."
