“Carly is a sport and exercise student at Abertay Uni. She has a particular interest in hockey and is a referee!! She started volunteering at Dundee Stroke Exercise Club (DSEC) in February 2018 and rarely misses a Monday class. She is always pleasant, caring and compassionate. These qualities have made her a very popular volunteer within DSEC. Carly has built up exceptional relationships with stroke survivors, their carers and other volunteers within the DSEC community.
“Her volunteering at DSEC has also enabled her to take the decision to undertake a post graduate course in Occupational Therapy at Glasgow Caledonia University in September. Carly plans to continue volunteering with DSEC while completing her studies. Carly is a real asset to our group and we are very fortunate to have her as a volunteer. She is totally deserving of this award.”
