The President introduced Rev Ken Sambrook to give his Christmas message at our Annual Frugal Lunch

By some amazing coincidence it fell to me, one post retirement Christian cleric to propose the Vote of Thanks to another similarly late entrant to church ministry. Rev Ken is assistant priest at St Mary the Virgin church in Wistaston.

His pre Christmas reflection was thought provoking and humorous based around the question, "Whose Christmas is it anyway?"

Rev Ken brought with him and explained the symbolism of the Christingle orange.

Rev Ken posed some interesting questions and conundrums whilst presenting a timely reminder of what Christmas is supposed to be about with the challenge to us to put Christ back into Christmas. Now there's a lengthy sentence St Paul would have been proud of.
