Local Causes receive Funds; Sponsors & Those who made it happen recognised & thanked

The further success of the Rotary Advent Calendar was marked with an Awards Evening for sponsors, helpers & award recipients, held Wednesday 19 March 2025 at the Senior Citizens Club in Kenilworth.

The 2024 Campaign raised £17,000 for local causes.

The President of the Rotary, Maurice Holden, made the awards, assisted by Steve Krikler, who was the lead on this community project.

                                                                            

 

Awards were made to a number of local causes, including Myton Hospice,Talisman Theatre, Compassionate Kenilworth, Waverley Centre. 

A big thank you was given to all those whose contribution made the project so successful - amomgst them, Loud Local, Emerson Press, Aquarius, Hertz Electrical, Jon Farrington-Smith.

 

The sponsors were warmly thanked; and certificates of appreciation were awarded to Loud Local's Leon Hinderldy - for their unfailing support with the website, others including Jon Farrington-Smith.

The Kenilworth Adventure Calendar is now an established part of the Community’s life & preparations are already underway for the 2025 Calendar.

On Saturday, October the 24th, the annual worldwide Polio Day the Holiday Inn Kenilworth façade will be Floodlit in purple with a Rotary message “End Polio Now “. 
Why purple? A purple dye is put on each child’s finger after inoculation.
