The Rotary Club of Bedford Castle celebrated its Christmas Party at the Woodlands Hotel, with around 50 members and guests in attendance. The evening began with a champagne reception in the main hall, providing an excellent opportunity for attendees to connect, chat, and exchange Christmas cards while enjoying delicious canapés. Afterwards, when everyone had settled in fhe dining room, President Dominic welcomed all members and their guests and also thanked Rotarian Peter for all his work in organising the event.
The atmosphere was relaxed, and once the meal had been served and the tables cleared Rotarian Charles, with the help of Rotarian Steve encouraged everyone to join in to singing cherished Christmas carols. Classic tunes like "Silent Night," "O Come All Ye Faithful," and "Jingle Bells" resonated throughout the dining room, while "The Twelve Days of Christmas" became particularly animated as the friendly competition between tables escalated. President Dominic concluded the evening by thanking all present and making the traditional Rotary toast.
It was heartening to see so many of our Members gathered together to celebrate this most wonderful time of the year. This moment allows us to come together, create lasting memories, appreciate our blessings, and spread kindness to those around us. Additionally, it serves as an opportunity to build goodwill and better friendships and to prepare ourselves for serving our community in the forthcoming year.
