Ten Finalists were selected by The Ivo for our Competition, from the 50 Entrants to their Jubilee Cake Competition, and were required to bake a Victoria Sponge filled with Buttercream and Strawberry Jam.
Judging was made by Rotarian Rob Davidson and two Master Bakers form De Rita’s Restaurant, who congratulated all the entrants on their baking skills and enthusiasm.
After much deliberation and tasting, 3 Winners were selected and awarded a selection of Bakery Items as Prizes. In true Masterchef style all entrants received Rotary Young Bake-Off Aprons and Certificates with Finalists receiving smaller prizes, in the presence of their Parents and Ivo Staff.
Overall, it was a very enjoyable Event, much appreciated by everyone present, and Kelly Evans, Head of Food & Nutrition (pictured below) is very keen to continue The Ivo’s participation in future Rotary Young Chef and Young Bake-Off Competitions.
