Donation to the Magpie Centre, Riding for the Disabled
Recently the Rotary Club of King’s Lynn has made donations to seven local charities, totalling some £3600. One of the charities to benefit is the Magpie Centre at Runcton Holme and the photograph shows a cheque for £1300 being presented at the centre by Rotary President, Paul Kunes. The money has been raised by a 100 Club and we are very grateful to all the members and friends who contributed this year. In the photograph with Paul are three staff who work at the charity, Abbie, Natalie and Suzanne, as well as Buddy, a horse which was bought by the Rotary Club some ten years ago. For over 30 years the Rotary Club has supported the charity and it is estimated that in total some £100,000 has been donated for the purchase of new horses, tack, feed and other items required.
