Errol, 7 May 2025 — This morning, the Rotary Club of Perth proudly joined a large crowd at Errol Airfield to celebrate a landmark moment in Scotland’s humanitarian effort for Ukraine—the departure of the 100th aid lorry organised by Tayside and Strathearn Help for Ukraine (T&SH Ukraine).
Invited by Kenny Simpson, the event was attended by Rotary President Bev and Graeme Duncan, who represented the Club at the gathering. Attendees were joined by local supporters, volunteers, and Ukrainian representatives, including a moving musical performance by Ukrainian families now living in Scotland.
The Rotary Club of Perth was specially recognised during the ceremony for its continued support and recent donation of £3,500, approved just one day earlier at the Club’s Council meeting on Tuesday 6 May. This contribution will directly fund the 101st lorry—ensuring another shipment of life-saving supplies reaches those in urgent need.
A heartfelt letter from T&SH Ukraine’s partners on the ground in Ukraine was shared with attendees. The message expressed profound gratitude for Scotland’s solidarity and reaffirmed how vital this ongoing support is for Ukrainian civilians affected by the war.
"Each lorry brings hope, warmth and a sense that the world has not forgotten us. Your help makes a real difference to lives disrupted and displaced." — from T&SH Ukraine partners
