Hamish Milne 50th Anniversary with Rotary

A special lunch celebration for Hamish Milne's 50th anniversary with guest Gordon McInally

On 8th May, 2025 the Rotary Club of Perth held a surprise celebration at their weekly lunch meeting for Hamish Milne who joined the Club 50 years ago that day.

The celebration was joined by the Past President of Rotary International (2023-24), Gordon McInally who presented him with a special neck tie.  President Beverley Callander presented Hamish with a trophy, certificate, champagne and a cake.

President Bev recognised Hamish’s not only long-standing membership of the Club but also his tireless energy and passion for leading and participating in community and member activities.   She listed the many gardening and community related projects that Hamish had led or participated in, to the benefit of many, and often with him passing credit elsewhere.

Hamish admitted that Rotary International and the Rotary Club of Perth had been a big part of his life over all these years and what he valued most was the fellowship of other Rotarians.  Hamish is a true example of his mantra that Rotarians “participate, attend and push themselves forward to support Club activities”.
