Oakbank Primary School won the grand final of the Rotary Primary School Quiz competition in Aberdeen, winning against 15 other schools from across the north of Scotland. The runners up were Farr Primary School from Inverness.
After 60 questions and a nail-biting tie break round , then going a sudden death, they were crowned overall winners of the Rotary Quiz 2025.
The team was made up of P7 pupils Marisa Robertson, Travis Mackay, Hana Chalmers and Eli Fraser. The pupils are supported by Perth Rotary Club who have a link with Gail Mackay, Rotary Club, member who meets with the school House Captains as part of the Rotakids project work, fundraising for local and international charities.
The children performed so well and are an absolute credit to the school.
The quiz covers a wide range of topics including geography, technology, mathematics, science, music, art and general knowledge.
Kinnoull Primary School were also taking part in the final and although not so successful on the day had done extremely well to get to the final!
A big congratulations to the teams and we wish them well as they progress to secondary school after the summer holidays
