Rotary Risborough Ramble 2025 - 6 and 12 mile options

What's involved?   Choose either:

The Long Walk :

Approximately 12 miles suitable for regular walkers or those wanting a challenge!  The walk takes you through the lovely Chiltern countryside on footpaths and minor roads. The terrain is reasonably flat with a toilet / refreshment stop on route.


The Short Walk :

Approximately 6 miles starting and finishing at Wades Park for those wanting a ramble through the lovely Chiltern countryside. The walk takes you on footpaths and minor roads. The terrain is flat throughout.

 

When is it?

Sunday 7th  July 2025  - from 9:00am to 12:00am

 

Where?

Walks start and finish at Wades Park, Stratton Road, Princes Risborough  HP27 9AX. Parking is available at Mount Car Park. 

 

What's it for?

The event is being arranged by Princes Risborough Rotary Club as part of the Risborough Festival with profits donated to ScanAppeal (a charity fundraising to provide state of the art medical equipment for hospitals in Bucks) and local Rotary charities.

 

How much does it cost to take part?

Adults will be charged £8 on registration via the website or £10 on the day. Children 16 and under walk free. Additional donations are encouraged.

 

How do I register?
Click on the link below and complete the simple registration form and payment information. You will receive an email to confirm your registration.

 

Can I register on the day?
Yes, you can register when you arrive at Wades Park.  The fee for adults registering on the day is £10 for the 12- and 6-mile walks. Children 16 and under still free.

 

Walk details
At check-in you will receive full details of the walk and a map.   The Control Centre at Wades Park will be available if you need any help during the day. A phone number will be provided on the walk details.

 

Refreshments and Toilets

Available at Wades Park and one stop on the longer 12-mile route.

 

Dogs 

Very welcome - but please remember those bags!

What to bring with you

You should wear suitable clothing and footwear for a country walk.  It could be a hot day and it's always important to stay hydrated - we don't want to encourage the use of single use plastic so please bring your own adequate supply of water to drink.
