WASMA - Happy and Glorious

Sun, Mar 19th 2023 at 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

The Rotary Club of Wokingham proudly supported this event showcasing the incredible talents of our local schools.

WASMA (Wokingham Area School Music Association) returned to The Hexagon on Sunday 12 March and Sunday 19 March 2023.

An orchestra playing music, showing the string section.

On Sunday 19th March, we supported the annual W.A.S.M.A concert at The Hexagon in Reading.

Pupils from 13 schools in the Wokingham area performed in a huge choir in front of a full house (c1200 attendees) and the concert lived up to the theme of "Happy and Glorious".

Staged, choreographed and produced by Berkshire Maestros the performance brought the live and key events of the late HM Queen Elizabeth II to life with a mix of song, poetry, spoken word and dance.

Our Rotary Club sold programmes beforehand (and we sold OUT!) and collected at the end of the performance. A very successful evening all round!
