Cheese Festival 2025

Sat, Sep 13th 2025 at 10:00 am- Sun, Sep 14th 2025 - 5:00 pm

Sturminster Newton Recreation Ground,
Food, Crafts Entertainment & more

We are pleased to continue running one of Sturminster Newton's favourite Charitable events on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th of September 2025.

Last year was a successful year with stalls for 12 local Charity organisations to help them raise money at the event. Mrs Pitt-Rivers generously allows us access to the Durrant Field for carparking and her charitable trust donates any fee directly to a charity of her choice. All of our Volunteers work for local Charities or Organisations and they thank you for your generous participation. Our volunteers earn funds for their charities or organisations. In total these contributions were almost £17,000.

Following a poor year in 2023 we were pleased to make funds available for some grants in 2024 with applications in excess of £96,000. We were able to distribute (or pledge) funds of around £34,000 from last year's income and by reducing our reserve funds (used to guarantee another Festival in the event of late cancellation).

Our Suppliers, Exhibitors, Caterers and Performers are already being contracted for this year, deposits and fees are being paid. They are all looking forward to seeing our visitors again in September.

If you are going to this year’s Sturminster Newton Cheese Festival On 13th and 14th September you should buy a ticket on line to Guarantee your Entry.
