President at home - chillaxing

Once upon a time weekly meetings were held every Monday evening in a local hotel / restaurant. Members would gather and enjoy fellowship over a dinner and usually a speaker thereafter. This could be financially restrictive and a deterrant from joining or getting involved

From the beginning of 2020 formal weekly meetings were reduced to two per month.

Since March 2020, due to the Coronavirus pandemic, weekly club meetings, business meetings and Council meetings were undertaken on-line using Zoom.

Post Covid the club has settled into a less formal arrangement whereby we generally gather (on Monday evenings), we currently utilise “Spider on a Bicycle” in Station Square, Aboyne for our get togethers where we enjoy coffee and cake or indeed a meal from time to time. Meetings are normally held on the second, third and fourth Mondays of the month. We don’t normally meet on the first Monday or the fifth Monday of any month.

The planner for our meetings is maintained on the internet in a “Drop Box” file that all Rotarians have access to.

Do Rotarians have to attend every meeting? No not at all - we would like our fellows to attend when they can but most importantly we would hope we are  providing social meetings that Rotarians and visitors alike want to attend.

It remains that we do from time to time like to get dressed up and be a bit more formal but usually the best times are in a more relaxed atmosphere setting

Anybody is welcome to attend pretty much any gathering - just get in touch!
