Weekly Club Meeting

Speaker: James Hanson - "Dry Stane Dyking"

Jim Hanson has been a drystone waller since 1991. He is a qualified Master Craftsman and Dry Stone Walling Association accredited Instructor and Examiner. His work has ranged from remote hill dykes to more artistic installations, show pieces and large-scale projects. He has worked with many types of stone, in many styles, building and teaching widely in the UK and further afield. More than often now, he designs much of what he builds, at all times following the basic rules of walling/dyking. He also designs gardens and plantings of trees to enhance the landscape.
