We have regular cricketers in both of Wootton Bassett's Rotary Clubs - that is we regularly play once a year!
It's always full of drama - plenty of blood, sweat and tears - a few pulled muscles and many aching limbs the next day. Last year saw an extraordinary draw - all down to the very last ball. This year, with 20 overs for each side, it was an equally nail-biting finish, with the 'Town Club' beating 'District' with just 2 balls to go. All players made valiant contributions, but the demon bowling from Anthony and a high-scoring innings from Robert deserve special mention. And we mustn't forget the skillfull burger-cooking by Keith and Janice - all proceeds to the Kalabash Trust in South Africa.
