What we do in Windsor and the surrounds

People of Action

Since 1982 the Rotary Club of Windsor St George has raised thousands and we also have donated thousands of person-hours to local, national and international causes.

Currently we are working with partners on the following service projects to:

  • Covid-19 response and recovery - assisting at local vaccination centres and fundraising for local charities
  • Provide information and assistance to visitors to the annual Royal Windsor Horse Show
  • Volunteer in the community for seasonal events and activities that support local causes
  • Support The Walk Centre - a not for profit organisation committed to helping children and families of the Hilton slum area in Nakuru, Kenya
  • Fundraise to support local charities and Rotary Foundation to support international causes
  • Work with other clubs in the district to offer opportunities for young people in the community - leadership, technology and literacy

We participate in charity quizzes (and sometimes even win!), barn dances, theatre evenings and other events supporting charities in the Berkshire area, while having some fun.

We take part in sporting challenges as a team - the UK 3 peaks, dragon boating, the Maidenhead Boundary Walk, Richmond to Windsor Bike Ride... and more.

We enjoy visiting and hosting our twin club from Goslar, Germany and currently exploring joint international projects where we can support deserving communities.
