The Youth and Vocation Committee, as its name suggests, promotes activities with young people in the community and also supports both people to get to use their chosen vocation and the use of the Rotarians profession/ vocation as an opportunity to promote that profession or vocation.

Youth
Activites with Youth include:

  • Young Chef competitions are held locally in Rushmoor as part of the heats for the District and National finals in the Rotary Young Chef of the Year contest.
  • Young Photographer
  • RYLA - Rotary Youth Leadership Award

Vocation

The Vocation aspect is for encouraging Rotarians to use their skills and vocation to benefit others. It also looks to arrange speakers and events which are voation based .. for example interesting "my job" interviews or talks. Recent examples include interviews with the Right Reverent Father Cuthbert (Abbot of Farnborough Abbey) and Gerald Howarth MP.
