Walking

Club members please log in for more information.

For many years the Rotary Club of Redcar organised its an annual Sponsored Walk starting in 1989 and we built up an enthusiatic following of walkers. Walks were usually in the North York Moors National Park and in the last years a choice of routes was offered ranging from about 5 miles to upwards of 13 miles.

Regrettably the walk of 2014 was our last as dwindling numbers meant that it had become no longer viable to organise. The reports describe the past walks which we hope will enable you to continue to enjoy walking on these lovely moors. We gratefully remember Charles Wyatt, one of our late club members, who organised the first 15 Redcar Rotary Sponsored Walks, planning the route and organising the logistics of the day.
