The club is involved in a number of activities for the benefit of young people
Current Activities
1.Chess tournaments in Primary and Secondary schools in Wensleydale
2.Schools Technology Tournament
3.Practice Interviews at Wensleydale School
4.Funding for Wensleydale School and all its feeder Primary Schools to enable disadvantaged pupils to attend extra-curricular activities/courses etc, which would otherwise be denied them.
5.Listening to young readers in primary schools- Members regularly visit four Primary Schools in the Dale to hear children reading and help them progress. Much valued by the children, teachers, and Rotarians!
6.Kids Out- taking disabled children to join others from all over Yorkshire for a day out at Lightwater Valley
7. Young Citizens Award- recommending local young people for this National Rotary award.
8 Sponsorship for a local young person to attend RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards); the following video was created by a RYLA awardee as thanks for the RYLA experience;
