Club Service Committee
The Club Service Committee manages the administration of the Rotary Club.
The Club Service Committee manages the administration of the Club. Chaired by the President it consists of, amongst others, the Secretary, Treasurer, Bulletin Editor and Attendance Officer. It ensures the Club is run in accordance with Rotary in Britain & Ireland (Rotary GB&I) rules and standard constitution and that the Object of Rotary (below) is observed.
The District Governor of Rotary GB&I District 1100 will make an official visit to the Club during the year. The Club Service Committee will find speakers for the weekly meetings in July and October, and in January and April next year. The recruitment and retention of new members will be a priority for the Committee throughout the year. The Rotary Club of Swindon North Trust Fund is a registered charity, number 1023021.
THE OBJECT OF ROTARY
To encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster:
The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service;
High ethical standards in business and professions, the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations, and the dignifying of each Rotarian's occupation as an opportunity to serve society;
The application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian's personal, business and community life;
The advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service.
