Messages of support:

Sarah Parish, star of Way Upstream wrote:- I lost my father to a severe stroke 2 years ago and I cannot emphasise enough how important it is to keep a close eye on your blood pressure. Get it checked when you can. It's so much better to be safe than sorry.

Michael Ball, star of Mack and Mabel wrote:- We all remember being told an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. As we grow older and the extra ounces we carried as young people turn to extra pounds and other health issues make us more vulnerable to strokes and heart disease it's vital we get ourselves checked before we suffer the incurable that could have ben prevented.
Blood pressure is controllable and so easily checked. Since my mid 40s I have made sure I've known mine and done what I can to keep it healthy. I urge you to do the same. Get yourself checked. You're worth it.
