Membership of Rotary is open to anyone who is prepared to uphold the "Object of Rotary", shown on the right, and is able to adhere to the Rotary Motto of "Service above Self".
Much more simply stated, we have weekly meetings in the County Hotel in Selkirk, meeting any time after 6.00pm for a meal at 6.30pm. At most of these meetings, we will have a guest speaker, topics are wide and varied. There are other occasional meals for special dates such as Christmas Dinners and Burns Suppers. The other exception is the monthly business meeting, held on the first Wednesday of each month, where along with the normal business of keeping any club or society running, we also plan and organise various fund raising ventures to benefit local, national and international charities. We then carry out these ventures and allocate money to various Charities.
If you are interested in joining the Rotary Club of Selkirk, or would like further information on any aspect of the local club, or Rotary in general, then please get in touch with Paul Tomlinson by sending him an e-mail using the link below.
