On 18th June, 2008 a cheque for £250 was presented to Cheryl Cousins of One World Centre through the Youth Opportunities Committee chaired by John Bowles.
On 25th June, 2008 a cheque for £250 was presented to two representatives of the British Red Cross.
Also on 25th June, 2008 a cheque for £250 was handed over to Bill Price from the Firestarter Youth Festival to assist with the cost of storing their equipment.

Community Service Committee is involved in several major Club initiatives such as the Rudolph visits at Christmas to local Primary Schools. The Committee is also responsible for the annual Mini Parish Fun Walk.

Foundation Committee is involved with Rotary's own Charity and is largely a fund raising body and organises events throughout the year such as the annual Quiz Night. The Committee has a particular focus on supporting Rotary's End Polio campaign
