Dr Amjad Shaikh, work in NW Pakistan - AH, VOT - Joy Chatters

Dr Amjad Gulzar Shaikh, an orthopaedic surgeon at Borders General Hospital, and member of the Rotary Club of Karachi, visited the club with his wife and several members of Galashiels, to tell us about Rehab Response. Dr Shaikh, with help fromother medics, is providing expert surgery in a remote part of Pakistan to correct deformities resulting from polio. His talk to Border Clubs is hoped to bring about an exciting boost to his charity, which could include providing better facilities for the surgery combined with helping to End Polio and even provide breast screening. Dr Shaikh his happy to talk to other Rotary Clubs about the project.
