Picture shows Rotarian Tony Williams being presented with his Presidents Chain of Office from outgoing President Rowly Joseph.
In his address, Tony said that he was very proud to carry on the role of President in this, the 58th year of the Club, and would do his best to celebrate Rotary through Rotary's International theme, "Engage Rotary, Change Lives". Most of all he wants to make this year a fun year with lots to entertain all, from trips away, to social events, and some really inspirational speakers. One of the main events will be a Winnie the Pooh event at the Cornish Goldsmiths next May. Charities he is looking to support through his year are Shelterbox, Literacy Box, R.E.M.I.T. (Rotarians Eliminating Malaria In Tanzania), Shoebox, Penhaligons Friends, Childrens Hospice South West and the CPR Foodbank. He also intends that all monies raised during Rotary's Annual Christmas Collection will go to "Local Charities".
