Bedford Hospital Receives Donation of Vital New Equipment

A vital piece of equipment which can save crucial seconds in administering life saving treatment to trauma patients is now in use at Bedford Hospital thanks to a generous donation from the Rotary Club of Bedford Castle.

The new bed scales mean that, instead of being hoisted up onto traditional scales which is painful and time consuming, patients can be weighed in their beds meaning the dosage of life saving and pain relief medication can be rapidly determined and administered to critically ill patients and stroke patients.
