The purpose of international service within Rotary is to promote international goodwill and understanding, and to undertake projects to meet the humanitarian needs of children and families in the poorest areas throughout the world.
Rotary clubs work together to support major projects on a global basis, such as the current Rotary International commitment to the worldwide eradication of polio.
Clubs also work at district and local level to support smaller projects to help those most in need.
Hythe Rotary Club has a proud history of supporting individual communities in a range of countries including , and , as well as raising funds to provide emergency Shelterbox accommodation during major disasters.
