Last week, the Club enjoyed a "scatter week" with members of the Hawick Club visiting Rotary Clubs in Selkirk, Galashiels and Kelso, but the largest deputation of nine visited Langholm Rotary Club to take part in their Annual International Games Night, competing with Rotarians from Langholm, Lockerbie, Brampton and Longtown. Much fun, and an almost total absence of skill, ensued in carpet bowling, darts, pool and dominoes. Hawick's domino champion, Past President Andrew Suddon, winner of the domino tounament for the past two years could not go, but he had successfully coached his substitute Gus Neilson who duly won the trophy which Andrew had just returned, so the Hawick Rotarians retuned triumphantly, but little can be reported about their participation in the other disciplines in which they had competed ! An enjoyable evening for all who took part.
