neil's notes of meeting

Morning All
Just a few jottings from last night 11th may , apologies if anything missed but they are only jottings:

*   It's Rodney's Birthday on the 16th
*   Welcome to Hon Member Chris Strachan
*   Club received its District Citation Award
*   Letters from Essex boys and Girls Club, Rotary Go Seminar in Luton, Shanty Festival and Guy Carnival Road Closure granted from TDC.
*   Andy updated club on Rotary Cycle Ride sunday 9 am start. 21st june
*   Bob reported on the successful quiz evening, £99 being raised for Foundation Charity.
*   Norman Hills updated on the successful International lunch, resulting in the raising £500 for the Thailand Project ( club agreed to add a few Bob to make the total up to £500)
*  The Club has supported the Dream Holidays appeal and Colin has dealt with the £750 financial arrangements.
* Four Rotarians attended the District Meeting on Saturday, we listened to a number of very inspirational speakers prior to going off to our various areas for seminars. Leaflets were brought back for Andy and his team to consider for Speakers. Clubs were reminded of the 'Worlds largest Quiz event' at Southend FC   See earlier jottings.
*  The Darts Team were presented with 'trophy drinking tumblers' for being the District Darts champions.
*  Allocation of funds; suggestions previously circulated were to be discussed at Club Council and will be referred to in the CC mins.
*  Next meeting is on Monday 18th May and is mins of CC 
*  ROVs are Rtns Bull, Burrows and Calver.
*  CC follows the meeting.

I think that's about it....they are only notes and I may have missed a few things.....apols.
